Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, write to corrections@scanurl.net. Tell us the page, the claim, table row or tool output, and what you saw, including your browser and version if it concerns the inspector. Please do not send live suspicious links or private URLs; a reserved example such as example.test shows the structure just as well.
What we do
- Check the evidence. For an article we identify the claim and the source or test behind it. For a policy record or directory entry we identify the provider, field, source and check date.
- Retest when behaviour is involved. A change to tool behaviour or a parser result gets a fresh observation with its browser or runtime, version and date.
- Correct in public. The page gets a dated correction note saying what was wrong and what changed. Superseded results are kept on record, not silently replaced.
- Qualify while we check. If an error affects a conclusion, we qualify or withdraw that conclusion until it is resolved.
Providers can ask us to update how we describe their policy or reporting route. We check the current source and update the record and its date.
We do not publish private details from correction reports.
